Why Supplier Dispatch Time Matters for Amazon & Walmart Sellers
June 2, 2026 · 5 min read
In today’s fast-paced e-commerce world, not all platforms provide accurate information about a product’s dispatch time from the supplier. Yet, this metric is one of the most critical factors for businesses operating with a dropshipping model.
If a product has a long delivery time, it may not be suitable for dropshipping. Customers want to receive their purchases as quickly as possible, and delayed deliveries can hurt your reputation and sales.
Moreover, dispatch time directly impacts your chances of winning the Buy Box on marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart. Products with shorter delivery times are more likely to secure the Buy Box, even if they are priced slightly higher than competitors with longer delivery times.
At SKU DRIP, we understand the importance of this. Our platform provides precise dispatch time data for each supplier’s product.
Control Dispatch Time Automatically
You can set a maximum number of dispatch days in your settings. If a product exceeds this limit, it is marked with a yellow label “Long Dispatch” and automatically goes Out of Stock until the supplier’s dispatch time meets your criteria.
Flexible Configuration
This setting is highly flexible:
- Global setting applies to all listings in SKU DRIP
- Individual product settings can be defined per item
- You can disable this feature if not needed
The global setting can be configured as Maximum days before dispatch at supplier, which will apply to all your listings in SKU DRIP.
Individual product settings are also possible. Simply open a product for editing and define the maximum dispatch days for that specific item.
You can even disable this setting entirely if your business model doesn’t require it.
Why It Matters
By tracking supplier dispatch times, SKU DRIP helps sellers save money, maintain customer satisfaction, and improve marketplace performance.
With these insights, you’ll always know how fast your supplier can deliver, allowing you to make smarter inventory and listing decisions.
